I find that being aware of looking for opportunities to enjoy life through as many senses as possible creates strong impressions of pleasure that enhance life's experiences. As with any other creation, there are many aspects to making an enjoyable experience. There should be memorable stimulation caused by texture, smell, color, taste, and visual presentation. This blog follows my journey as I learn to create, through following other's recipes, adapting recipes and creating my own. My love for all cooking, but mostly baking, comes from the joy I feel when sharing what I make with others and the satisfaction of a job well done. I am not naturally gifted when it comes to cooking but I find the experience meditative and creative, thus mentally relaxing. Please join me in my quest for making eating a beautiful experience.

I made these cinnamon and cream cheese chocolate chip rolls about 2 weeks apart. I made the cinnamon rolls first and they turned out so fluffy and moist that I had to try making them with a twist. Since everyone … Continue reading

Chocolate Chip Meringues are so delicious. When freshly baked they are slightly chewy and melt in your mouth. The next day they are airy and dissolve in your mouth. I made these because I wanted to make a flourless desert. … Continue reading
Chocolate Nut Fudge
I made this Chocolate Almond Fudge last week for my husband’s birthday, along with coconut pops, apple cinnamon pops and a flourless chocolate cake, and they were the most popular item. Despite not having enough marshmallows, they were fabulous – rich, crunchy but still dissolved in … Continue reading
Chocolate Mousse
We were inviting friends and family over for a dinner consisting of a combination of Indian, Italian, and Spanish food. I decided that I had to make a dessert but had been making way too many cakes recently. I wanted … Continue reading
Chocolate Coffee Walnut Cake
It was my sister’s birthday on Thursday and we were staying at our grandma’s summer house. My sister sprang a cake making request at me the day before her birthday so with no recipe books or my own cooking utensils … Continue reading
Red Velvet Cake with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
This Red Velvet Cake with a White Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting is amazing. Intriguing red contrasting with an off white. It is rich, moist and flavourful. It stole the show at my birthday get-together. I held my birthday party this weekend since my … Continue reading
